My youngest graduates from high school in a about 10 days. She's been done since March and looking for a full time job so she can move out and live the dream.
This is the card I made her to celebrate this milestone
I used Grad Girl 2012 from Saturated Canary and colored using reds and yellows. The side chevron border is Oh Hello [SU!] and the class of and year stamps are from PTI.
Colors are Real Red and Delightful Daffodil.
Not a lot of blogging time right now because I need to get the house ready for the grad party which is tomorrow.
Happy stampin!

Yes, I still remember how to stamp
Wow! A lot has changed since the last time I blogged - mostly the reason for why I haven't blogged since early November. There has been no small amount of drama and a lot of changes... a lot of personal changes ... a lot of happy personal changes (I did go back and check the date ... my last post was about a week before the happy personal changes began.)
Anyway, the reason for the happy personal changes is out of town visiting his family this weekend. Because of other commitments I wasn't able to go with. So I used the time productively to see if I still remember how to stamp. It appears that I do :)
Back in December I did make wedding invitations for a friend of my daughter (her older brother is getting married on Saturday). I was quite thrilled when T asked if I would consider it. Why of course I would. The couple's catch phrase for the wedding is essentially "come share our perfect day". I mirrored that in the sentiment of the card. I printed the sentiment using the same font I used on the invites (dontcha just love when it all works out like that !)
I decided to use bright spring colors (Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, and Delightful Daffodil) even though winter still has its grip here in the Midwest. I also used the new Watercolor Wonder set from PTI. Well it was new in February even though today was the first time I opened it ....I know I know, but I did say happy personal reasons at the start ....
Since its been a while I did keep it pretty simple, but I love how it turned out. This card has actually been in my head for a while (probably since I purchased the Watercolor Wonder set) and I'm so very happy that it came out pretty much like I envisioned.
Have a great weekend!
