Double Duty

Today's card is for both the February SFYTT and today's PTI challenge

The layout is for the SFYTT ... I'm so glad these went to monthly challenges because I get to play along more often - I only hit about once a month before when they were weekly.

The focus on BIG is for PTI ... BIG flower made from a felt circle about 3" across  and BIG sentiment from Giga Guidelines.

Make it Monday and CPS 204

PTI started a new challenge this week for their anniversary. Its called Make It Monday and it sounds awesome! A video tutorial each Monday with a new technique or trick plus an opportunity to win a set of your choice for playing along ... sounds like fun to me

This week's video was called Go-To Sentiment, and shows how to use all those sentiments you have to create something new and different ... checkout the video on the PTI You Tube channel

Here is my card:

I started out with this weeks CPS sketch and then pulled out every birthday set I had and focused on the word" celebrate" in all its forms ...

This was really fun and I look forward to using this technique a lot in the future!

Favorite Project of the Year

Over at Papertrey they are showing the design teams favorite projects from the past year.  I looked back and had a hard time coming up with a favorite ... I narrowed it down to 5 or 6, but I think this one is my absolute fave ...

It was a creative stretch for me - the first of many this year as I tried different styles to come up with my own.

It was my first publication attempt - sort of.  I entered it in the auditions of Paper Crafts Magazine Gallery Idol

I think it was the first Copic coloring I did that was any good :)

and that's why its my fave!

Get Well Soon

I have been seeing lots of clean and graphic designs out on the web lately on the blogs I follow.   Thought I would try my own hand at it ...

I used the school lines from Library Ledger and one of the Fillable Frames for the sentiment.  I also die cut from Beautiful Blooms and used an oval punch then trimmed it to a point for the leaves.

You're So Sweet

Playing around with some old stamps and new dies ... Cupcake Collection any one?  I'm also loving the shape of the Mat Stack 3 die and the frame stamps for it !

I  had a stampy date with a friend of mine and she suggested the color scheme.  I don't think I would have put purple and black together on my own  but I love how it turned out!  The layout is from Card Patterns sketch challenge (last weeks ... late again :\)
