Today, Operation Write Home Stars &Stamps blog is hosting a blog skip (a tiny hop :) and I am honored to participate.
If you are following the links, you got here from Barb's blog
The theme of the day is CAS - Clean And Simple - and what could be more clean and simple than white on white
I have seen a lot out in the blogosphere lately using die cuts or punches in the same color as the card base to create texture on the card. I love this look. It's so easy but packs such a visual wallop!
For this card, I used the Leafy Vine border die from PTI and paired it with the flower trio punch from SU!. The pop of color on the sentiment and label border was used to imply flowers (and I thought the white on white theme would lose something if I stamped in white too :)
Your next stop on the skip is the fabulous Brenda.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your skipping!
Oh, very nice! I like white on white with a pop of color! It always looks classy!! Thanks for skipping!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! White on white is always a classy choice and you are totally right about the pop of color giving the impression of flowers. How that works in the mind I have no idea but it does! I'm wondering if I can achieve the same effect with an embossing folder? Hmmm...I'll go try that out. Thanks for participating and inspiring!
