I have a friend having a wedding shower this week and a friends daughter having a wedding shower this week. I need shower cards!!! Both weddings are out of town (in sunny warm tropical locales) so I thought bright happy colors would be good.
I used the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps blog Sunday sketch for the layout and decided to try a little floral die cut layering (extremely inspired by PTI bloom builder mum die being released tonight). While this flower isn't as fluffy and mum-like as the one in Nichole Heady's tutorial, I still like its dimension.
I used 2 of each size Beautiful Blooms #3 die, lined them up, secured them with a rhinestone brad from SU! them fluffed the petals up a little but to give it some dimension.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: Framed, Fillable Frames #8, Polka Dot Basics [PTI]
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Tangerine Tango [SU!]
Paper: White, Tangerine Tango, Good Neighbor patterned [SU!]
Other: dies [PTI], rhinestone [SU!]
Great color combo and the multi-layered flower add a lot of dimension. Nice job with this week's OWH sketch!
